A damp but successful Get Online Week event in Stroud!

The Creative Sustainability Digi Team, Helen Elliott-Boult and Nick Turner, braved a damp Monday to run a digital drop-in session from on board the NHS Outreach bus, which they commandeered for the day. The event was part of the annual national Get Online Week, organised by the Good Things Foundation, who supported local groups to run over 1000 events across the country during the week 14th – 20th October.

We had conversations about digital inclusion with over 40 passers-by, gaining insight on digital barriers and sharing support on using devices to access the NHS services, stay connected, and improve health and wellbeing.

CS help organise regular digital drop-in sessions at 10 location across central Stroud District, as part of the county wide Digi Hubs Project, with over 500 people receiving support this past year. The work is under the umbrella of the DIGI Partnership, and supported by Gloucestershire County Council and the Gloucestershire NHS ICB.

More information about our services and the location of our hubs are found on our CS website Digital Inclusion page and the DIGI Partnership site.

Many thanks to Dave Marshall, he NHS Facilitator, who delivered the bus and helped out with conversations, Jezza (one of our volunteer Digital Champions) and Chris Smart from GCC.
