Why buy, when you can borrow? Why shop, when you can share?
You don’t need to buy these things, or store them in your shed or garage or worry about fixing something when you realise it’s been in storage for two years.
The Stroud Library of Things will be available for you to borrow items when you need them, for up to a week at a time, for an annual membership and a small borrowing fee.
Can you help?
We have access to a central location in Stroud Town and we’re organising behind the scenes to develop the library and get things set up. There’s a lot to do and we are very happy to hear from anyone who is keen to help develop this project:
- Do you have unused tools which you could donate to the library?
- Are you good at repair or upkeep of tools and could volunteer some time?
- How are you at processes and systems to keep things running behind the scenes?
- Would you be able to help out in our ‘library’ when people come to borrow items?
