Community Hubs Development Lead

Miranda is the Community Hubs Development Lead, working closely with Stroud District Council and other key partners to develop a plan that seeks to build community resilience through the development of a network of Community Hubs across Stroud district.

Miranda comes with a diverse professional background, having started her career as a broadcast journalist, before moving to work in international development and humanitarian response.

She returned to the UK in 2009 to study for a Master’s degree in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She has since worked for Public Health teams in the London Borough of Hackney and more recently on the Covid-19 desk at Gloucestershire County Council.

She is passionate about supporting and developing community led action and using asset-based approaches to improve social connectedness and therefore resilience.
