Louise works as Project Officer on our Re-Connect project, alongside Coryn.

She brings with her many years of experience working in public, private and voluntary organisations in Gloucestershire.

She has a Degree in Education and has taught at primary level as well as volunteering as a school governor for over 14 years. Louise has over 25 years management experience in supported housing services for older people. Her interest in developing and co-ordinating projects led to a three year position with a national stroke charity. In that time she set up a number of stroke support groups, providing a much needed resource for stroke survivors and their families countywide.

More recently she has been part of a new initiative in Gloucestershire called Social Prescribing. Louise has worked with individuals who may, for example, be living with Dementia, Mental Health issues, Caring responsibilities, Bereavement etc. and has supported them to connect with community resources in order to improve their health and wellbeing. During this time she trained as a Mental Health First Aider.

Louise is a keen baker. Her claim to fame having a recipe published in a leading food magazine! She has more recently taken an interest in ‘Mood Food’ and the philosophy behind ‘You are what you Eat’.
