Youth Projects Manager

Jemma is the Youth Projects Manager at Creative Sustainability.

Jemma started her career working with young people as a young person herself, running the tuck shop at Dursley Youth Centre aged 17. Aged 23 she completed a Diploma in Higher Education in Community, Youth and Play Studies at the University of Birmingham to become a JNC professionally qualified Youth Worker.

For many years she led on and managed various youth projects and centres around the south of the Stroud District before taking time out to travel. Her travels took her to Australia where she stayed for 6 years and worked for a Leaving care service, supporting and advocating for young people preparing to leave care and after leaving care across the vastness of Western Australia metro and regional areas. Jemma has since worked for Stroud District Youth Council, facilitating their youth voice groups. 

With may exciting opportunities arising for young people at Creative Sustainability through access Bike, 3rd space and Gloucestershire Youth climate panel. Jemma’s role will facilitate the ongoing work and future development of projects with the rest of the youth team.
